ZUHAL OLCAY

After graduating from Ankara State Conservatory Faculty of Theatre in 1976 she took part in plays such as Othello, Boş Bezik, Söz Veriyorum and Martı at Ankara and İzmir State Theatres.
As of 1983, Zuhal Olcay took part in various TV and cinema productions like Parmak Damgası, Gecenin Öteki Yüzü, Ateşten Günler, Amansız Yol, Dünden Sonra Yarından Önce, Sahte Cennete Veda, Medcezir Manzaraları, Gizli Yüz, 80. Adım and İstanbul Kanatlarımın Altında. She won her first prize in acting as the best supporting actress in 1984 with the movie İhtiras Fırtınası and won several prizes throughout her career.

As a follow up to her successful career in theatre and cinema, she started a career in music as well when she took part and sang in the Evita musical first played in 1989. She took part in the movie Dünden Sonra Yarından Önce of Nisan Akman and also sang the piece which is named after the movie.

Zuhal Olcay also took part in Nazım Hikmet Oratorio of Fazıl Say as a soloist and she has 7 studio albums. To this day Zuhal Olcay worked together with figures like Mehmet Teoman, Vedat Sakman, Selim Atakan and Bülent Ortaçgil. Zuhal Olcay’s latest album is called Aşkın Halleri.e.
