She was born in Istanbul. She is one of the most popular and acclaimed female artists in Turkey. As a coloratura soprano with a true dedication to music, her individuality shone through during her six year musical education. Her albums sold over 4 million copies and every album received gold and platinum awards. Her amazing vocal versatility has won her an army of devoted fans-no matter if Opera or Pop, Sertab’s amazing voice and stage presence have led her duets with world famous singers such as Jose Carreras and Ricky Martin. Following graduation, her unique talent as singer and performer was recognised immediately. Initially working with Sezen Aksu, another significant Turkish music star, she released her first album “Sakin Ol” in 1992. “Sakin Ol” sold over 1,000.000 copies and became the best selling debut album ever in Turkey. Her second album “Lal” which was included in the “Soundtrack For a Century” collection by Sony Music came out in 1994, “Sertab Gibi” in 1997, “Sertab” in 1999 and “Turuncu” in 2001. After 4 years, she released her long-awaited new Turkish album “Aţk Olmez”. This brand new album distinguishes from her former albums as nearly all of the songs are written and composed by Sertab. Her two songs “One More Cup of Coffee” (a Bob Dylan cover) and “Here I Am” were used in international movie soundtracks. She also worked with famous musicians Desmond Child, Anggun and Belgian band “Voice Male”. She is the winner of the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest representing Turkey with the song “Every Way That I Can”. In 2004, she released her first English album called “No Boundaries” and a few English singles which increased the number of her international fans. For the first time ever, Sertab is going to share the stage live with Turkey’s number one names of dance, Murat Uncuođlu and Aytekin Kurt. All songs at this awesome party concept are completely re-arranged by Murat Uncuođlu and Aytekin Kurt and include Sertab’s most popular classics such as “Sakin Ol” as well as hits from her latest album “Aţk Olmez”.
