The independent label Elec-Trip Records joined the Turkish music sector in 2002 with fairly unique artists and albums. The company now presents Rebel Moves (released in July 2003), a fresh band with a fresh approach: For the first time in the history of Turkish music, a local band launches their first single, consisting of English and French lyrics. Their debut single “French Fries A la Turca” is being wellcomed by the music lovers all across Europe and world wide through “French Fries A la Turca, was recorded at Jinglehouse and Elec-Trip studios in Istanbul.

The energy and rhythm of the city is highly expressed in the single. Rebel Moves mixes different types of music such as electronic, jazz, funk, ska and reggae with traditional Turkish sounds. A Turkish string group accompany Rebel Moves's synths, samplers, electric guitar, percussions, keyboard, bass guitar and drums. Their song “Sheep” became No.1 in Turkey's most popular radio stations and in charts.

Rebel Moves played in various organizations and festivals including the 10th International Istanbul Jazz Festival where the band met with the world music audience.
