Okan Ersan was born on 27.4.1972,in Nicosia. Okan Ersan,whose father is a musician,began playing the guitar at the age of fourteen.He played in many important orchestras in Cyprus.Beside of this,he performed individually.In 1989,he received 'The Best Raif Denktaş Guitarist' award.In 1990,he was accepted to study in the department of Music Academy of Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty and graduated from this faculty.

After that,he went to England and joined Della Rose Big Band courses there. His interest to Jazz and Fusion increased by these courses.During his stay in England,he gave Harmony and Guitar lessons while doing Song Writing and Guitar Workshops at EC1 Music Project. He also gave orchestra lessons at White Lion Youth Centre.In 2001,he returned to Cyprus,worked with some local musicians and participated in their albums both organizer and instrumentalist.

In 2003,he succeeded in being among the 'Best Five Guitarists of the year 2003' that was a well-organized competition by the Guitarist Magazine which is one of the important magazines of England and also the music world.

Then he went to Birmingham and performed in front of the renowned guitarists of the world. Thus the Guitarist Magazine and some of the other newspapers praised him for his highly performance. This year,working with many renowned musicians of Turkey in the studio,Okan Ersan made an album which involves his own compositions in it.

The musicians such as Eylem Pelit,Volkan Öktem,Serkan Özyılmaz, Levent Altındağ,Serdar Barçın and Şenova Ülker have participated in his album.

Okan Ersan is still living in Cyprus and has been working on some projects. Okan Ersan is interested in Fusion and tries to reveal his own style and opinions using Western Perception. Mostly,he uses Church Scales in order to create melodies.According to him the songs are existed not only for being written but also they were born in order to express particularly himself.
